Uzbekistan's First-Ever ESG Report
A New Era in Uzbekistan
President Mirziyoyev Delivers Address to UN General Assembly
For the first time ever, Uzbekistan has published an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, “Progress in Uzbekistan,” to measure and assess the country’s advancement of a reform program that has transformed the country since 2017. While ESG, or sustainability reports, are common in the corporate setting, no nation has ever produced a report such as this.
Uzbekistan is a country on the rise. Since 2016, the nation has enacted a broad program of sweeping changes to modernize the economy, open the culture, and embrace a more active engagement in world affairs.
At the same time, Uzbekistan is rapidly and decisively dealing with a host of environmental, social and governance issues that have impeded progress in the past. This website describes the Journey of change taking place and the opportunities that represents for global business, trade and travel.
